Survivors of trauma face the challenge of rebuilding their lives, and our bimonthly mentor program at Destiny House.

“When my daughter turned 18, she met someone quite a bit older and soon moved to a different country without much explanation. Those years were filled with questions and concerns. Every so often, I’d get a hint of her whereabouts, but it was never enough to ease my mind.

“My sister and I were just teenagers when we were drawn to Las Vegas. Everyone talks about the city’s bright lights and big dreams. But for us, it quickly turned into a nightmare. We thought we were heading for good jobs and a fresh start. Instead, we got trapped in a world where people were bought and sold. Las Vegas might be a dream for some, but for us, it felt like a prison.

There’s a story about a man walking on a beach filled with starfish. They were all washed up on the shore, and there were thousands of them. As he walked, he saw a kid picking up starfish and gently throwing them back into the sea.

Our bimonthly mentorship program, rooted in compassion and tailored to each survivor’s unique experience, provides a nurturing environment where individuals can find hope, rediscover their purpose, and embrace a restored destiny. With a focus on holistic healing, we empower survivors to move beyond merely surviving, equipping them with the tools and support needed to thrive emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
